Adobe ends support for Flash

As of December 31, 2020, Adobe ended support for Flash Player, their popular computer interface language. This seriously impacted Simpolicon which was written using Flash. Without Flash, Simpolicon no longer functioned, and has in effect disappeared. To remedy this, we began to reprogram Simpolicon using React as a replacement for Flash.

Also, during this same time period, the COVID-19 pandemic spread, and schools struggled to figure out how to move forward. Although distance learning seemed ideal for Simpolicon, teachers were reluctant to try anything new, so our school contacts temporarily dried up.
